Treehouse of Doomishness, Ten/Rose, PG-13
Rose frowned as she knew what that sentence really meant. She didn’t spend nearly day in and day out with this alien in his time traveling ship and not learn how to decipher the Doctor’s words and tones. She knew his tells and made a mental note to get it out of him later., 1,599

I loved the sense of adventure in this. Running from a killer tree in a killer tree house...so inventive!

“I love you.”

“And I you, Rose Tyler.” He unlocked the door to the TARDIS. “Now, I don’t mean to be insistent, but I’m in quite a bit of pain and at the risk of sounding like a whinging, pushy toddler I really need to get myself to the infirmary.”

“Even if you do I promise to tell everyone you were very manly and quite impressive as you defended me from the killer tree.”

“I knew I married you for a reason,” the Doctor said. He kissed his wife again and they quickly entered the TARDIS.

I could tell you how that exchange resonated with me but it's a very long, very private story. Suffice it to say that it did. And I loved it!! :D

I got a big giggle from this, thank you!

Right as I was thinking it was like the Whomping Willow, there you went throwing it in, lol. I loved this! So many clever references to Series 3 and 4 (and holy shit do I not want to think of how much more painful and heart-hurting Midnight would have been if Rose were there). Wonderful job!

This line made me crack up hysterically. But really, what is up with that tree?!

I loved the pacing of your story - fast and fun, and very Doctor/Rose!
