THIS was simply gorgeous! It's so very them, and I can only imagine what Donna's reaction will be when they finally remember to fetch her!

Thanks!

LOL - I know, poor Donna. I thought about adding a bit where he calls her or leaves her a message or SOMEthing, but... it's not really out of character for Ten to leave her hanging, either. :)

I love this. Completely and utterly love this. You've managed to capture the sheer exhuberance that the two of them would have at a meeting like this. I couldn't help it - I found myself beaming right along with them as I read. I absolutely adore the fact that his first words to Rose are "I love you." And the Doctor's suggestion of the hotel (because he doesn't want to share her yet - not even with the TARDIS) and Rose's reaction... It's all simply perfect and so very them.

Lovely story. This takes me back to the days when I first became active in the fandom, when their reunion was all glorious potential and possibility. So despite the sweet fluffiness of this story (which I love), I'm feeling a bit melancholy now. Poor Ten. His reality was so much poorer than this.

Poor Ten. But that's what fanfiction is for, right? I prefer to substitute my own reality and live in a land of seasons 2 & (most of) 4.

I kind of feel like I missed out by not being a part of this fandom earlier. I think Ten's ending would have been even harder to take if I'd been watching in real time, though.

I love this so, so much. I love the way it starts with the Doctor impatient on a street corner for something to happen, and then the thing that happens is not at all what he thought, it's a thing that keeps him in place instead of letting him go. Love.

"“I love you.”

As if it’s been two seconds instead of nearly two years since their last conversation. As if they’d never been interrupted. Because he swore to himself, afterwards, that he wouldn’t waste time if he ever got the chance again."

Well, wouldn't that have been lovely. There is sort of a sadness to this, knowing how things actually happened for 10. But, it is lovely. Really lovely and hot.

Yes, this would have been lovely. We just have to make up our own stories! Thanks for commenting.
