And after all; you’re my... Ten2/Rose, PG-13
In the boiling steam and underneath the rushing sound of water he finally allows himself to weep - with terror, with rage. With the utter despair of a mortal man faced for the very first time with his own mortality. 1,414 words.

Gosh, you are so very welcome. I was really dubious about posting this because of the subject matter but to hear that you enjoyed it and that it brought something beautiful into your life when you needed it...thank you. I really appreciate you letting me know.

Oh this was gorgeous. I was a little scared because of the warning, and it was full of angst, but it was also so real and not overdone. You did a fantastic job with this, you shouldn't be scared!

Poor Rose. Poor Doctor. :(

I kind of hoped that I'd gotten the balance right here. But you just never know who's going to read and whether they're going through something similar that will tip them over the edge and really upset them.

Poor them indeed :P my muse is SO ridiculously mean to characters that I love.

This was very beautiful and heartbreaking; particularly the bit about him coming home and realising that the children and Rose have continued their lives: They don’t need him anymore, he realises.

Thank you for sharing this.

No worries. I've been through this same thing three different times and all in very different ways so I know how hard it can be. That's why I put the warning and I'm glad that you read it regardless.

*hugs*

This was so beautiful. A really truthful account of how terminal illness is dealt with, but also a touching view of the two of them in his 'mortal' world. And I love that Rose knew instinctively that he needed something wild and crazy to let go and trust her and trust life again and yeeeah now I'm babbling so suffice to say, I loved it.

It's funny you posted that when you did. I was actually at a cancer center for an appointment with my mother and bored. This could've broken me, but it did the opposite. It made my day. Thank you!

I'm so glad! Sometimes it's just enough knowing that other people have been/are going through the same thing as you.

Best wishes to you and your mum. I hope it all works out okay :)
