I think my favourite part of this might be Rose rescuing River and then naming her. That is just perfect.

As is: It's the second time she's kneeling next to a car accident that saved the world, and she's got a much bigger secret to tell this time. and She knows him, his hearts and his name, and who he is on the inside.

So much love for this. What an amazing story.

Rose Tyler has her haters in the fandom. I ignore them, mostly. One of them, I've agreed to disagree with. The rest can be unreasonable.

But she was never the sort to destroy something just to get to the Doctor. She had a chance at that once, and didn't take it.

I have a few possibilities in my head as to why she started leaping. One, I'm using in another story, and this one I really liked because it explains the use of something called a Cannon as opposed to something called a "transporter".

Holy shit, I did not know what I was getting into when I clicked on this. I feel like I need to lie down. I'm having trouble finding the words.

Starting from...

There's a king of the Earth in this Universe. Rose, granted audience with him, has to leave again almost immediately. His aura of presence feels odd to her, familiar and strange at once. King Alistair the Great pronounces her mad-eyed and made of gold. Before the jump takes her, Rose has to agree that one of them is mad, anyway.

...and then all the way through the "Today" section I basically felt like I was being slowly hit by a truck. Just lovely, rich, whimsical, heartbreaking work.

I love what you've done with this. I've read a few fics where people expand her dimension jumping so that she runs into Eleven, or Ten just before he regenerates, but nothing like this. This is just beyond. I love it when fic writers can take something like the bad wolf, or the dimension cannon, and just turn it into something so much more that it feels like that's what it always ( ... )
