Haha! I love that they went to Bernard's shop to find books, even though it's probably the worst place to look. The gang drinking together was spot-on, and I adored this line:

Twenty (relative) minutes earlier and a whole regeneration later, a man in pinstripes and his blonde companion marched right on into the same chippy

Can't you just see Nine and Bernard getting on though? Nine would ultimately totally pwn Bernard but they've both got that acerbic streak in them so they'd bounce off each other whinging on about stuff they don't like XD

Oh I loved this! I loved the timey-whimey twist at the end where Ten and Rose stole the books from Nine and Rose. I must say I am not familiar with Black Books but this did make me want to check it out. I loved the Doctor's confession to Rose that he wanted to travel alone until he met her. Perfectly lovely and too cute!

Omg, get Black Books, it is hilarious. Also, Tamsin Grieg who plays Fran was the woman in The Long Game who helped Adam get his head implant thingy which always amuses me no end.

That really DOES look like Bernard's store.

I'll admit, I was sad that Manny wasn't there. But you got Bernard down pat. "87. Go Fish" Brilliant! And ordering her out of the shop was spot on. The only thing missing was the hair-smoothing-down thing he does. All in all, this was a lovely little piece.

Yes but now Ten and Rose can go back when Manny's there and be all "HI" and you just know he'd be completely perplexed at bing greeted by Rose who's heard all about him and he doesn't even know who Ten is XP
