Oh this is so heartrendingly beautiful and its taken my breath away. I love that you tied all three Doctors together and the reverence with which Ten thinks just breaks my heart.

And oh lord that ending.

:)

I am so glad you liked the ending!

Not to heavy on the melancholy I hope. * w *

Gah, this piece was gorgeous. I LOVE your characterization of Ten, Rose, and Eleven. And goodness, these two lines:

She has the tragic gift of enchanting him, of drawing him into the gravity of a single human life and weaving him into it.

He asks her this question more than once, each time more afraid and each time more broken when she gives her benediction and threatens to burst the dam in his hearts with hope.

*loves* Beautiful work!

OH MY.

High praise because I am very insecure about writing Ten. OTL ;;

Oh, those are some of my favorite lines too! I'm so glad someone else enjoyed them. <3

*wibbles* Really lovely piece. There's always a bitterness with Doctor/Rose, because no matter how many times he might make his way back to her, "forever" is never going to be for them. So sad, but beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

Oh, Eleven.

My heart, it is wrenched quite hard.

"Free-radicals and tannin, Rose," he corrects absentmindedly, missing the phantom kiss of her skin, the slide of her fingers against his. She would love his new hair.

Eleven! ::goes off to weep angstily in a corner::

Excellent use of prompt.
