I've figured it out. I need to write random humour sometimes for Doctor Who, because the angst-tasticness of canon means that writing sadness on top of that all the time might well kill me.

Love! I'd really like some fan art now with Rose as a mermaid. This is a great little series you've got going here, I hope we see more of the universe where Rose gets undressed and carried off by the Doctor :)

Halfway back to the TARDIS, with even Time Lord strength being tested by the huge weight added to Rose by the tail, the Doctor said, “I’m noticing that me carrying you back to the TARDIS half-naked is becoming something of a trend.”

Rose noticed, though, that extra weight or not, he wasn’t exactly complaining.
