Recuerdame, Ten/Rose, pg-13 He has the memories, each of them lived through once and then hoarded jealously like dragon's gold in the cavernous recesses of his mind, that prove differently., 240 words
No one else has commented on this and I think that's a real shame because I love it and I happen to think it deserves more. I'm not good at comments, but I do adore the way it feels sensuous and sexual and something about the line "each whispered syllable of countless billets-doux never committed to paper" is inherently pretty to me. It's short but beautiful and I'm no decent writer or English major or anything, but I think it's lovely and amazing and full of angst candy and normal candy.
I suspect they thought that the thing is too short (and, technically, it is); the story was done and finished, though, and I think it would have been obvious if I tried to pad it out any.
(I like that you like the billets-doux part; that line pretty much showed up fully-formed in my head, which is usually a good sign !)
