As I was writing, I imagined that the Doctor and Rose met an enemy he feared he couldn't protect her from, so he hid her in order to buy himself time to defeat whatever was after them.

Awwww.... I would hope we learn more about this, (Like say did Jackie and Mickey play along with this or did Nine somehow find a parallel world with a Jackie and Mickey?) But it was very good.

Oh this is a superbly intriguing idea! The prompt picture seemed a bit creepy to me at first blush but this is really fantastic.
