Friday: Two vehicles heading south, loaded with three days' worth of luggage, instruments and eagerness. The wait time at the border was short, the guard was friendly. We met up briefly in Blaine for celebratory coffee and some spontaneous music before continuing onwards.

Fremont is a suburb of Seattle. Never been? All you need to know is this: Fremont is like Commercial Drive, but with the volume turned way up. Lots of beatiful, creative stuff everywhere. Opening night was chaotic, thunderous, full of music and spectacle.
