Afterclasico, part III

Jose Mourinho was visibly angy after his team's defeat against Barcelona.

"Why does this happen? Barcelona are a fantastic team. I don't understand why Pepe was sent off. It paved the way for Barcelona to finish the tie."

"I said nothing to the referee. I just laughed and applauded his decision without saying anything. I'd rather say ( Read more... )

I'm glad Mou played it safe. I need to download the game since I missed it but I'm sorta afraid to watch now.

It was really ugly game full of diving, yes sometime also on our part, talking and even soe incident at the end of first half. Pinto got sent off from the bench.

Pepe's red card in second half seriously affected the game. Pepe was late to the ball and caught Alves. Nothing serious, I expected max. yellow but he got straight red. Alves was streched off dying to the sides but the moment Pepe was sent off he was like nothing happend. Sergio got yellow, so no Pepe and Ramos in second leg.

Mou also got sent off to the stands. He didn't say anything to ref just smiled his 'I can't believe this shit' smile and winked at the ref. And for Mou, he was really calm to this point, just chillin' out in the dugouts.

I don't think I can honestly watch this without bawling. 8"( It really depresses me that this happened. And the ref is really, really full of shit. Mourinho didn't say anything.

I'm really curious if RM will try to appeal this card. Even Valdano (and I don't like him that much) said that the ref decided the game. Of cource, I'm not living in illusion that something will change. Chelsea 2009, Inter 2010, Real 2011... is it just me?

I'm waiting for more Mou quotes, some of them are epic. Will post them with game pictures.

tbh i'm halfway glad i missed the match. it seriously sounds like i would have busted some kind of blood vessel.

we all see what barcelona's like, we all see how they play, the diving, how refs always seem to be on their side (it's a terrible thing to accuse a team of, but we've all seen it in action - not just madridistas but every team barcelona has played against. like mou said, just ask rvp/arsenal, chelsea, anyone). so isn't there something we can do? talk to the refs, get new ones, something?

it's just sad. really, really sad. and i feel sorry for barça that they have to stoop this low to win. but how good does winning really feel, knowing that you didn't actually deserve it, yanno?
