[Some would call it late at night, others would call it early in the morning. To Wesker (and Une, too, apparently), none of that really mattered.

He has something similar to a duffel bag slung over his shoulder (plain, unassuming) as he reaches out and knocks on Takasugi's door. Knock, knock, knock, loud and to the point.

House call! B)]

[...who the hell could be knocking at the door at this time]

[a brow shoots up into bandages as inquiries pass. he'd only just returned to the rarely-visited room some time ago: a collection of stashed teas, returning only when roommates are fast asleep, the residence quiet save for that meat-fisted pounding of knocks]

[as he's terrified the doors into not speaking when he's near, they offer no warnings as he opens the door to -- ]

Al.

[he looks only faintly surprised and mostly amused]

Come in. Tea's almost ready.

[alas he cannot offer an interesting such as a face splattered with gore, but he can at least offer a warm drink]

[Wesker offers him a faint grin in acknowledgment, one hand reaching up to straighten his dark shades out of habit.]

Hospitable as always. [The hand drops back to his side, and when he speaks he mirrors the amusement shown to him.]

Though this isn't exactly something of a social call. [A no to the tea, then, and a gesture to the bag on his shoulder.]

No, you're not something of a social person.

[still amused; quite frankly, he liked that about the other man. etiquette was a waste of time]

[still, he doesn't guard the door as he makes his way to the shared kitchen, pouring from kettle into cup]

Dare I inquire?

[Wesker takes it upon himself to enter, long and steady strides, but not before closing the door behind him. He sets his bag down on the nearest flat surface while Takasugi busies himself in the kitchen.]

I was sent here, actually. Someone tells me you have a wound that needs tending to.

[straight to the point.]

So I'm here to tend.

[visibly, he pauses, kettle hovering the stove as he takes in that comment]

[ -- she was the only one who knew. of course she would tell the local scientist. while Wesker is equally discrete and his presence is certainly more welcome than others, the thought of hands near him, eyes (even covered dim) on him, the mess of his hastily-patched newly-reopened wound...]

[he scowls in disgust as metal clanks hastily]

And why would you do that?

[From the kitchen he can probably hear the rustling of items as Wesker takes out the supplies from his bag. Cloths for cleaning and bandages, the healing agent itself in something of an inconspicuous spray can, among other things.

Dull objects in comparison to what he was used to, but suited for the task at hand.]

You're questioning my generosity? [he lets out a laugh at his very own question.] Recently the ship was kind enough to give me something from home - something that could be used for healing wounds, if processed correctly. So consider it an indulgence in my curiosity.

[He wants to know how well it works. No surprise that he comes here with the intent of a scientist, as well.]

[the laugh tells him he doesn't need to answer, so he doesn't]

Aa, so I am an experiment. A specimen.

[somehow, that gives him relief; the lady's concern for him could be manipulated -- Wesker, on the other hand, was too much of a wild card. certainly he did not come here on her behalf, and putting the catalyst gives him a feel of control over the situation]

[with tea in hand, he seats himself on the couch across from his company, and he doesn't wince at the pain radiating up from his midriff]

And if I prove to be an uncooperative one?

Something of the sort.

[He steps closer, appropriate items in hand for cleaning a wound before actually tending to it. He doesn't sit or crouch down just yet, but rather simply looks at his current "patient" with something of a casual air.]

Then that would make things difficult. Two stubborn personalities clashing together often make for something of a challenge. Though I'd definitely have to inquire about your hesitance first.

[there's scrutiny in that eye as he looks upon the approaching man; Takasugi is not unacquainted with such items, after all, any man who's seen the wars he has would have picked up some emergency medical knowledge. it was a matter of life and death]

[this is not. this is a scratch he'd gained while punishing a flustered kitten, and it had rebelliously refused to close]

I'm certain you could find someone more appreciative of your services.

[he peels back a lapel of his robes, showing bandages that are only barely tattered, the stains brown and watery only near where the presumed wound is deepest. above, many old scars spatter his skin]

As you can see, it's already been taken care of -- and as for your inquiry, well. I simply hate being touched.

[An aversion to touch. Well, a simplistic problem, to be sure- and not one that Wesker thought would prove terribly difficult to overcome. He came prepared as always.]

[And so the unused bandages, white and pristine, are tossed to the empty space next to Takasugi.]

I don't doubt your ability to take care of yourself, so the bandages and other items I've brought can be used at your discretion alone, if you so prefer.

[The stains, an almost earthly color, are placed under Wesker's scrutinizing gaze.] But the human body is weak and abysmally slow in many things. Healing included. I may help you recover faster.

[his crooked mouth hovers the rim of his tea cup, one eye critical on the offering of the bandages. Wesker is, whether he knows it or not, presenting these things in a way that will not damage Takasugi's ego; the human body, not your body, at his disecretion alone]

[it is when he is not appealed to with hope that he begins to wonder -- if a scientist and medic like Albert Wesker had been in the Foreigner Wars, could his eye have been saved? could his body be less scarred? could his men have lived to see old age?]

[his laugh is unexpectedly harsh (but his pride is not wounded), cold and volatile and shrill as he puts down the tea and pulls shoulders and arms out of his kimono]

[Takasugi has been blessed with but a few things in his life; for better or worse, the ability to survive has always been one of them]

And you have not asked how I became injured. You perplex me, Albert.

[as he unwraps his abdomen of the stained bandages, the wound becomes clearer: a solid, flawless, straight line crossing lower ribs and upper abdominals, ( ... )

[Albert Wesker only ever caters to one man's pride (his own), but never inadvertently makes a habit out of wounding another's. That was something he always did with precise intent.

When Takasugi unwraps the bandages covering the wound, Wesker looks upon them with a decidedly clinical interest. He even takes it upon himself to remove his shades so that the detail is not so easily obscured, resting them on the top of his head. Red eyes take in red.]

It's not much of my concern how you became injured. All that matters is the task at hand - though from looking at it, I imagine that was something of an impressive cut.

[He almost gives a shrug of his shoulders, but instead crouches down so he's more level with his company. In his other hand, the one that did not once carry the clean bandages, his shakes the previously mentioned spray can.]

I should probably clean it first, but I think you'll survive without it just fine. [Getting around the problem of touch, after all, dictated so.]

[even with proximity, Takasugi's eye shrinks, skin shrilling, iris following with a sleazy paranoia]

Mn. From an impressive sword, in fact.

[a shame it's wasted on someone so useless; but Wesker did not ask for details and Takasugi is not openly providing them]

[apprehensive, he scowls in unknowing at the can in the other's gloved hand, searching for movement with a tightening of his muscles]
