Well, Lori sacrificed herself via emergency cesarian for the baby, and Rick went BATSHIT INSANE when he found out and went into zombie-slaughtering mode (handily, since they'd got into the prison), and by the end, his (white) shirt was COVERED in ... I don't even know what. Black grease, soot, zombie muck, something, just BURN THAT SHIRT RFN. I'm pretty easy going on the grime'o'apocalypse, since I watch from an aesthetic technician pov, but that shirt put ME over the limit. UGGGH.
