Oooh, that's a tough one. I don't think I could answer that, except maybe to say Ellen and anyone. Out of everyone in SPN, Ellen's definitely the one I'd most want to be friends with. You know she'd always have your back, she'd always tell you stuff straight to your face, and you'd just always be able to depend on her.
Interesting observation about friendship as a human thing. Although really, the demons were evil and the angels were dicks, so who would really want to be their friends? Even Cas, even as humanized as he got, he was still too weird and off-kilter to be anyone's friend.
It IS a tough one! But Ellen is teh awesomeness. I'd totally love to have her as a friend. Plus Bobby is so amazing, too, so I guess in-story I'd go with them - but then John is so much fun in the way he reacts to his friends ... argh. I just need to say J&J and leave it the hell alone.
