*tackles you*

Now stay around a while, will you?!

Also, fic would be amazing. I ship everything that isn't Loki centric in Avengers land and I love what little Gen there is so anything in that 'verse makes me ridiculously happy.

And Community is the best sitcom to ever sitcom. It's amazing and hilarious and poignant and they made a Farscape reference. In mainstream teevee! Who does that?! Also Firefly references and Lavar Burton freak outs and the first black guy to make it to the end of the film and just...so much love.

That's a lot of ex's living under one roof, yo.

I'll try to stick around.

I'd like to write fic. I've been thinking about it, and since I've got a subscription to Marvel's digital archive, I'm thinking that'll be the awesome-est research I'll ever do for a story. I wish there was more Gen -- nobody ever thinks of the Gen fans.

Oh Community. It's been a long time since something made me laugh that hard. I even bought the DVDs and such. Lavar Burton freak outs -- oh man, Troy in the bathroom, huddled on the floor, singing the Reading Rainbow song ... so amazing.

That's a lot of ex's living under one roof, yo.
Oh yeah. A thousand miles away, hooray.

Yay for money coming in!

OMG, that math teacher sounds horrible! We had a good one, but then he left for a job that actually paid him real money. They we got someone who should be teaching kindergarden. :(

That house sounds very scary. Especially with all the exes living together. eek!

I haven't even looked at the con panels yet. It was so frustrating last year that I'm really just looking forward to looking at everything on the floor.

He was really awful and I suspect a misogynist asswipe.

So, so, so scary. I mean, in general everybody gets along-ish, but all under one roof for what may be a couple of months? Holy cow.

That's pretty much what I did last year, just wandered around. It was actually relaxing and fun.

I'm glad you only have to view the house from afar.

Relaxed and fun is what I'm going for this time. So yay! Well, that and more Doctor Who figures, but that goes unsaid. lol

I had a very similar teacher for 8th grade History. "Read the chapter, answer the review questions at the end" was the sum total of teaching, as he walked around the room and insulted people. When confronted by my mother, he insisted that kids our age were simply not teachable.

I wonder if they're related. My 'teacher' made the mistake of saying the problem with education was parent's involvement. I may have been a little bit gleeful when I told my PTA President mother that. She stormed his office. He deserved it, jerk.

OMG Hello! You know I will never resist clicking on a cut tag that says "math!" Kudos to you and your mad math skills! I had to abandon my first dissertation topic (for several reasons but one was) because I was not clued in enough to keep organized file systems and detailed records for writing and analysis. I have since learned that these are also Very Important Skills! :D

Community is a lot of fun. I got introduced to it via fandom March Madness. watching slowly through Netflix DVDs. I love the Halloween episode to pieces. Costumes! And a sexy Statistics Teacher! It is like, my tailor made episode.

Heh. I actually thought about you when I did that.

My skills are not super yet, but my confidence has improved greatly, which is such an amazing relief.

Ha! So great.

I just spent some time perusing Khan Academy. I reviewed linear combinations and span, and then learned a bit about naming of organic compounds, and Keto enol Tauification. Um, that last word might not be right. My sole chemistry class in undergrad was something of a travesty, and I never got to O-chem. It might be fun to learn more.

(Or I could go write some more fic. you know, there's only so much time in the day.)

Hiiiiii!

I've been getting into Community too - we just started the second season. And I am fannish about The Avengers in a way I haven't been about anything for a long, long time.

Hooray for maritime museums! Last week we were supposed to visit the Constitution for the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812, and there were easily a dozen other tall ships docked in Boston...and Matt decided we would play mini golf with his brothers instead. I was Not Pleased.

But, but ... you can always play mini golf. It's not like the windmill is going anywhere. That's rubbish.

My mother is moving to Maine (or so we think), and I'm hoping for a trip to New England sometime soon with a chance of seeing More Ships!
