I won't be watching in any way that can be counted, if I watch at all.

He pissed me off quite royally with his continued public sneering at Original!TW's viewers after COE (only a very few of whom deserved it), and
so I'm not supporting his work any more. Added to that, I'm really not interested in what he seems to consider wonderful storytelling, and he's gotten rid of what I liked about TW (team/aliens/Wales/Hub). (Sorry, Gwen just doesn't do anything at all for me, and nothing I've seen in any of the promo stuff has made me feel differently. - FFS woman! DON'T hold your baby in front of the window as a target! Shift sideways enough to protect her behind the stone wall of your house!)

Anyway, his attitude plus what I see as ginormous plotholes...nah, it's not gonna be appointment TV for me. :(

He's got an extremely abrasive "aren't I ever so clever" personality, to be sure.

Yeah. I think, for me, it's actually his inability to tell a story all the way through to the end, and his reliance on his own little tropes, and laziness when it comes to, you know, wrapping things up and following through, that I've had enough of. That and his tendency towards highlighting the most unappealing aspects of character as character development. I'm pretty bored with all that.

I was curious about new Torchwood, and hoped that the addition of some writers like Doris Egan and Jane Espenson might make it something I could look forward to, but now, I'm not really thinking so. I'll still probably watch, at least the first one or two, and we'll see how it goes from there, but it's sounding less and less appealing every new thing I hear about it.

Okay. I was trying to be calm and grown-up about it, but...

what you said, times three.

SO still bitter. If I had a voo-doo doll, it'd probably (still) be full of pins.

ETA: Also, ::hugs:: (Sorry. Still bitter overwhelmed hugs.)

In the third episode, the team starts to figure out who might be capable of such a stunning reversal of life and death and what they hope to gain from it. And, boy, is it a letdown.

That about sums up most RTD story revelations.
