I know. It's like I almost keep waiting for it to not be quite so awesome and it just gets better! I love watching a show where I get the sense that TPTB actually know where they're going with things. It's been a while, you know.
I shall definitely check out your thoughts. They've got such an interesting family dynamic, and just when I fear they might go trite, they always go the other way, and it's been just fabulous.
Another thing I really like about Mrs. Bennett is her faith. When she was talking about Claire and miracles.
She was earnest because she wants Claire to believe in herself and her love for her, but she wasn't preachy and annoying. Which can easily happen, but they softened it by her saying little things throughout the series about her faith.

Totally a good point. And, yeah, I kind of have to agree with her -- whatever you believe, coming back from the dead? Pretty much a miracle. And that she can take it as faith, and not be freaked out by it or freaked out by Claire, which was, I'm sure, Claire's biggest fear, she simply accepts the miracle. Because, as she said "I always knew you were a miracle", the fact that her daughter was still alive was all she really needed.
I totally remember the premier, and, you know, I have a hard enough time sitting still in panels, but it was just killing me. I remember how totally not impressed we were, and I'm so completely glad I was wrong. And, yeah, just when I thought it was pretty damn good, they went and added CE, and everything was even. better. Man.
This show makes me happy. Even when I think I'm starting to get sick of characters, they've got enough that they can just switch it up and I stay all happy.
Yeah, I loved it for those reasons, but the main thought I came away with was "OMG HIRO'S DAD!!11!!!" Like, I haven't quite figured out all the implications of that yet.
I am happy this show continues to get better even as other shows I like go down the toilet.

Totally. Everybody's all interconnected and just when you think you've sort of sorted it, they get even more interconnected and it's all webs upon webs, but, mercifully, it seems to actually make sense and the reveals come in a slowly unfolding, logical sort of way. This gives me such joy.

Yes. I feel like I've been so burned by some of my recent loves (BSG, VM, I'm looking at you), that I almost keep waiting for this one to fall down, and it just gets better instead. Which is just so much joy.
It was definitely an 'OMG HIRO'S DAD!' moment. The gasp heard 'round the world. And Wee!Hiro was completely adorable. How's about Hiro/Claire as a couple?
Claire's dad coming through for her: YAY!
I missed something. If who was Mama Petrelli? Linderman?
I swear I thought somebody else shot Claude the first time. Bennett looked so surprised. Also, vivisection?? OK. No. These people are badbadbad.
Eric Roberts. Thank you. I couldn't place him. Now I'd like to place him in a garbage disposal. Bad!Man!
It actually took me a moment to realize the implication of how that was Papa Hiro -- I was stuck at "hey, that's the building Claude hangs out on, the one Simone's dad owned, and where Peter worked". And then once I got over that, I was very "OMG! That's Papa Hiro! And that's WEE HIRO!"

The Haitian said that he had orders regarding Claire that superseded Mr. Bennet's, from somebody in Claire's life. So ... I wondered who it might be, and then had an idle thought that it would sort of crack me up if it was Mama Petrelli. I don't think so, but it was a brief and amusing thought.

Dude, so did I. He even looked almost as shocked after the second shot.
Also, vivisection?
Ugh, yeah, I'm totally with Claude on that one. The Company is sick.
