Attachment Parenting

I know people have heard me say 'we practice Attachment parenting', and we try to summarize it, but BFing, co-sleeping and babywearing are just things you to do foster the attachment. Thanks for this. I've been contemplating parenting "philosophies" lately. I don't want to label myself with any of them, but I'd like to know what they are so I can communicate with other parents. Alot of this (AP) falls in line with our practices...though we don't cosleep (except some brief stints in the morning when she wakes too early) or breastfeed (didn't work out much to my dismay), and babywearing is inconvenient unless I need hands-free travel (such as up the 3 flights of stairs to our apt every day).

I've been wondering which of the "experts" to trust and which ones to avoid. I don't believe in CIO (cry it out) at all, especially in infancy. Is Dr. Sears evil? I haven't had time to evaluate his philosophy.
