He really officially started last Friday (March 16), but it was still pretty unstable. He still, stops and drops and crawls if it's a long way and he wants to get there fast. But he'll toddle back and froth in the living room, and we child proofed the kitchen, so he'll toddle around in there too. It's a Hoot

How exciting! I can't wait for Violet to be mobile...at the same time it terrifies me! lol...

Marlowe started to crawl at 9 months. Obviously there's alot of issues once they start moving, but it's such a blast. And the baby proofind for crawling vs walking is different. The crawling stage was so short - it was kinda sad, because they are SO cute when they're crawling.
If you don't have safety gates yet, check Craigslist, lots of them go for sale cheap there.
Also - we ended up using the toddler formula - but guess what? It has High Frutose Corn syrup in it! I kicked myself after I got it home and read that! The nutrition value of the baby formula vs the toddler formula is very slight, but of course is well above that of whole cow milk. SInce Marlowe still likes a bottle before naps and sleep (and WARM milk at that), I think we'll keep using formula for that until he weans from it and use cow milk in his sippy cup, where he'll drink it cold.
