I hadn't gotten one of these kinds of IM's since before the fishbots were introduced, but today I got an IM from a load of numbers. I didn't respond, but then I realized I had posted a public LJ entry a minute before and figured it was probably a hat-bot. :D

Oh, and the number screenname was 601411673~

I haven't seen the bots around since the salmon. The weird part is that I didn't make an entry before the bot hit me, and that particular IM name isn't listed anywhere as an AIM name. Very strange.

Huh! I wonder if there is a way that it just randomly picks screennames from a registry or something. :\

I just posted and got hit too. The other person said it looked like an ICQ number but agreed with me that the bots are back.

I thought ICQ until we copied and pasted our "names" to each other, and the other person saw their name instead of a bunch of numbers. At least you got someone who understood the madness.

I did a couple of days ago. We had an interesting conversation that pointed out a few more things about these new numberbots (or at least this particular pair).
