Om Shanti Om is one of my favorite Bollywood films ever! I did the same thing and showed it to all my friends at college, who are noe obsessed with SRK :)
I've only seen one Almodóvar, Mujeres al borden de un ataque de nervios / Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and it was really hilarious. I kind of want to see Maleducacion for crossdressing Gael Garcia Bernal but I'm scared of the NC-17 rating.
Apparently it's really good, but I am worried about the subject matter. I'm not sure why, because I watched Mysterious Skin and that had the same rating and the same topic.
People keep checking Mujeres al borden... out of the library! And it is on course reserves for a class. But I definitely want to watch it.

I have escaped that, but I did track down the Filmfare Awards on YouTube for SAK. Which was fun.
