I´m totally with you about Where The Truth Lies. It was just cheesy and trashy all the way through, I kept cringing and searched the net afterward for any mention of Egoyan having been forced under brutal torture to make this mess of a movie. Alas, it seems he did it all out of his own free will. I can´t believe Alison Lohman´s character, she´s like a little girl playing at being an adult in her mommy´s clothes. Bad, bad, bad.

On a brighter note, also agree with you on Thelma & Louise (there´s a surprise :P), and following your description I´m kinda curious to see Bright Star. Not that they´re going to show it round here, I´m afraid a trip to the DVD rental will be required.

Where the Truth Lies was like the opposite of Exotica. WTF, Atom Egoyan! Can you only make nice movies with Bruce Greenwood?

I really want to see Bright Star. I don't even know why, considering movies about poets and their muses are usually not my favorite. (But probably that's because I had to watch them for school.)

Well, if it makes you feel better then I want to say that the John Keats/Fanny Brawne relationship is not really poet and muse. And it's way more about her than him.
