Most of all love how you describe Sam here. That events of Red Meat are still effecting him but that he doesn't put any of than on Dean, rather lets him know he's ok with Dean keeping the bullet.
Thank you for such a lovely comment! I didn't even start out to write amulet fix-it fic I just thought about Dean not being able to throw it away, and the image of something cherished held over the trashcan has very specific resonances in SPN...
Also, I love Sam so much so I'm glad you felt his presence here even though it was mostly a Dean-focused piece.
