Oh man, DragonCon! I was going to try and go this year (like I've been saying for... five years), but my neighbor's getting married over that weekend, so yeah, I can't do it. Hope you have fun!
Awww, you've gotta do it one of these years! And it's hardly far from you at all!! It's definitely worth going to, a big smorgasboard of all things geeky and people obsessed with them? Heaven.
Dalek Cullen is freakin fantastic! And I must say that I love his thoughts. So very Dalek. As for stories, I can't think of anything of epic proportion, but I'll definitely let you know if I come across anything. Like you, I've kinda ventured out to other fandoms at times. But, if you can weed through the crap at ff.net, you can sometimes luck out. Annoying, I know, but you "gotta have a lil rain to a rainbow." I'll even let you borrow my galoshes. :D

2. I'm not so sure about tumblr. I know its purpose (essentially a blog but the main focus is on photos) but something I'm not willing to sign up for. Now I like sex is not the enemy on tumblr though but really thats b/c its porn! (but its happy and artfully done)

4. I'm not too heavily into the HP fandom as I once was but when someone recs a HP fic I usually run (not walk!) to read it :)

1. I am, apparently! I'm to be on one of the big conference calls on Friday, which is ever so slightly terrifying as the packet of things we're to discuss is immense ._.
But hey, c'est la vie.
2. I signed up because I clicked the follow button in a fit of hilarity over Dalek Cullen and it made me sign up to properly follow. But that's about all I can be arsed to do with it. LJ is my home!! No blogging service shall ever replace it.
3. Oh man, DragonCon. I've only been once but it is such fun4 I'm not really "into" it again so much as reliving what I've loved of it in the past. Mostly the horribly jossed epics, because I love the world-building. I would rec things from time to time except for the fact that very few people other than myself tend to sit down for hours with the express purpose of reading one epic after another. I live for stories, and no other fandom really comes quite to the level as HP does in its world

Yes, HP fandom was and still is quite notorious for those epic novels :) But well worth reading it!
