Because I'd been sitting on it and finally took time out of dissertation madness to tidy it up (oh, my typos, they are a bit legion), fix a few tense issues (I still jump back and forth sometimes for stylistic reasons) and post it in one chunk as opposed to ten comments.

Found this via a delicious bookmark. Very nice. I really like your Merlin voice. It is clear and I can hear him talking. I also really appreciated the slow build - first we had fear/terror/annoyance/etc, it is really nice the way the story arc follows each emotion.

OMG this was SO much fun! The explanation of the title had me giggling like a madwoman!!

Other golden moments:
"And Arthur would never assign someone else to empty his chamber pot. The complaining Merlin did about it amused him too much." (So true!)

"It was quite possible the most servile he had ever been throughout the entirety of his employment." (Also true!!)

“It likes you, don’t ask me why, I really don’t know, never just materializes a pie for me, I’ll have you know. Won’t even tidy up my room for me, right annoying, it is.” (HAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!)

Also major plus points for all the glorious Britsh phrases like "blokes" and "right annoying" and "getting 'round to doing things" :oP

Hurrah for plus points! I just got back from a year living in Dublin so I like to think I've got a pretty good grasp on those sorts of things, but it is definitely always nice to hear that they worked!

Oh that was both sweet and funny, a very enjoyable read. The dynamics of their relationship seems just spot on to me. The fact that they avoid saying "magic" but talk about it quite a lot in fact, as well.
