i'll be going to the matches' last show this month, august 23, at the fillmore in san francisco. i'm going to be taking lots of pictures and recording some songs, if possible, and will report back to post anything good i manage to record here afterward. (:

is anyone else going to this show?

Yes! I will be there. Flying in from Chicago. :D
I've seen them play more than a couple times, and they've always hung out to meet fans; I wouldn't imagine this would be much different. If anything, I'd think they'd make even more of an effort to meet people since it's their last show.

it's cool, they'll probably (hopefully) have lots of merch available at the show. crazy that you're coming all the way from chicago! and that would be pretty cool. (:

I'm not going (I wish), but I can tell you it's almost a definite. They are some of the sweetest guys possibly on the planet. Every show I've been to of theirs, they not only hung out with fans afterward, but (after bribing shawn with vegan cookies) played a few rarities (A girl I know, The beast) and of course, Scratched out.
Though, because it's the last show, they might just play them onstage.

Have an amazing time, and i want to hear all about it, seriously!

awww! how funny - me and my sister were actually considering making him some yummy vegan treats (she's a raw/vegan "cook"), but thought he might think we were trying to poison him or something. haha. thanks for the info though, that's good to hear. :D
and i really, really hope they play scratched out. that's one of my favorite songs.

I'm really hoping to come. I just found out I have off, now I just have to discuss it with the 'rents. So hopefully I'll see you there!

And like other people have said, I'm pretty sure they'll take the time to at the very least say hello to everyone and thank everyone for coming out. :)
