Well, Best Buy had always given me decent hours. Always around 25-35, but this week, they only gave me 17! I simply can't pay for bills let alone food or spontanious buying with that few of hours! I told the supervisor that does the schedules that if I didn't get more hours, I would have to get a 2nd job and then scheduling would be stupid and ( Read more... )

umm might i point out that they want you on weekends because that's the time that most people go shopping... AND living on your own means your in the "adult/real" world and you have to deal w/ what you're delt and you may not always get the weekend as your day off ... wow... i did it again... holy moly... i said something slightly wise while i was half asleep...???!?

i know i have to work on the weekends. you totally missed what i was saying. they BOTH will want me on the weekends. aka, one will want me friday, saturday, and sunday and so will the other. thus, since i'm already working on the whole weekend with best buy, the other job wont hire me because i'm not free during that time because i'm already working.

come on, give me a little credit. i've worked retail for 4-5 years, i know when it's the busiest and every job wants you on the weekends, i know that, never have a expected to get it off.

Had I not told you about FMA before? Poor Nina...

But if you think that's bad, just hang around for about 15 more episodes - it gets worse. The last few episodes, 49 - 51, had me on the edge of my seat, too. And now the movie is being released in Japan this summer! WOOT!

And the sub is sooooooooooooooooooooo much better. Forget trying to watch it on Adult Swim - they butchered it. No one can do Edward like Paku Romi can.

FMA is still quite readily avaible through subbing groups on the internet - that way you don't have to spend your money, and you get to see the end long before the last DVD is released here in the States. I cried when it was over. It's definitely my favorite series.

yeah, you've told me about FMA before (that's the only reason i got it).
i liked the american voices (saw it on dvd so it wasn't adult swim), but i guess i coulda tried it in sub (usually i watch anime in subs, but sometimes i'm just not in the right mood for it (or for cowboy bepop the american are just as good)).

So apparently Best Buy isn't the best place to work. That's what I have heard anyway.

i'm starting to see why they say that. thing is, it really does rock, they just put way too much emphasis on numbers (mags nad prps).if i were full time, i'd have no problem, it's just giving out hours based on how many things you sell? that's rediculous.

Suncoast did the same thing.
