Awwwwww. Well written and sad. I want to say "Fuck you," but it's too good.

Aww! Thank you!
I feel I could have polished it up more but I wanted to get it out there. It may get revised yet!

I really like the idea of Elle making Noah her heir because she had nobody else and she had at least one good memory of him.

Oh wow! Good idea! game_byrd October 18 2010, 23:40:06 UTC
I'm not a fan of Noah/Rene, but that was easy to overlook. The fantastic thing is that I never really thought about the Bishop estate. Which is bizarre because I *should* have. In my own AU fic, Bob's ability (and later Gabriel's) funds the Company. By extension, he must have put away plenty for himself and for his daughter. Troublesome though she was, she was his daughter and he seemed to be trying to build her for the future, not cast her aside.

Money like that usually brings people out of the woodwork, as you observed. Which is another prod to me to get to writing that story that starts with Angela's death and Peter trying to handle the repercussions.

Thank you! I purposely left the slash unspoken. It's there if you want it to be, otherwise it's just a close friendship.

The settlement of Bishop's estate bothered me so much in the show; especially after Elle was murdered and incinerated on some random beach somewhere. How long would it have taken for someone to discover her body and then could they even identify her as she likely wouldn't have public dental records being raised in the Company and all.
