What REALLY fuckin annoys me is when people come home noisily at 3 or 4 in the morning and then start playing loud music and hoover their apartment at 9 in the morning! Do these people never fuckin SLEEP?!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

i had peopoe talking fairly normal level at 10.30pm last night on the other side fo the street keeping me awake....couldn't really complain so out with ear plugs

Ear plugs have already been a solid part of my life for the last 6 or 7 years, but they only muffle noises - you wouldn´t believe the noise some people make, and it´s a residential area. Last night at midnight I had the guy downstairs *whistling* twice (to call a friend that had left down the alley back to him) at midnight right opposite my bedroom window. I really hate people. 99% of them have NO RESPECT or consideration for others.

i know what you mean and builders/ designers/ landlords don;t seem to understand noise=distrubance...my building is form the 1980s and its single glassed right next to a main road!!

I grew up in the country darkness meant darkness and quiet meant quiet...however I do long for it to be windy at night then i am out like a light!

I deliberately chose the location where I live now - it´s an alleyway, so NO traffic yey!! However, because it´s so quiet it makes all other noises louder, especially at night, and no earplugs in the world can stop me from hearing, for example, the door downstairs slam (I feel the vibration too). Our buildings are concrete and sound travels quite easily through the walls. :(

Luckily, this is not every single night. Usually, it´s quiet by midnight. Touch wood!
