It's a great time to be a Spanner fan, and here's why:

☢ The release of Reborn Episode 106 (thanks craze_izumi!) - which means animated Spanner. If you start watching this from 7.26, you get to see Shouichi yelling, and you get to see Spanner from 7.43. You also get to see Shouichi smiling when Spanner is mentioned.

☢ Now Veoh has a much better-quality

I was privately wishing for some other INSANE seiyuu to be cast as Spanner. But I suppose Tsuda is all right (GOD IF HIS NAME DOESN'T SOUND LIKE TSUNA)

AND YES! Shouichi got prettied up to a shocking extent in the anime. WHO KNEW HE'D BE QUITE SO PRETTY IN COLOUR?

*laughs so hard* True, Shouichi looks uke in his glasses, but that kind of uke is a different uke aura. He looks like the ice-cold untouchable could-be-seme type with the glasses on and his Millefiore Captain Attitude up.

Like I said: I just know how to make good use of what time I have. And I never need an hour-and-half to make screencaps: I'm much faster than that. ;)

Shouichi looks so happy in this episode, too. Mostly Spanner related. Mostly relief that, "oh thank God there's someone there to go crush the Vongola." Still! It's good to see him with expression. And raising his voice.

The sans-glasses moment didn't seem to have happened in the original manga chapter, so I suppose that is one thing to thank the anime for? ;)

ALSO. ADORABLE, ISN'T HE? NO WONDER BYAKURAN FINDS HIM IRRESISTIBLE.

Actually I don't watch the reborn anime at all. Kind of. like. every time I watch bits of it and I hear them go 'BONGO-RAY' I can't stop laughing my head off which isn't really very useful at all.

XDXDXD I TRUST YOU AND YOUR METHODICAL RESOURCE-GATHERING.

I can see why you don't watch the anime. It can be stupefyingly boring at times (and we thought the manga was bad): they took five episodes for the FINAL Xanxus-Tsuna fight, complete with loads and loads of Ring Battle recaps, for example, and were perfectly happy to devote Episode 102 to the Tsuna-tachi crawling through air-vents.

... I may now never be able to unhear Bongo-ray.

I've just been following it for the Gokudera and Tsuna moments, and to see Spanner animated. And all the magical things we don't get in the manga (like Shou-chan without glasses).
