Crack pairing for the win, and you kept them both so devestating, as they should be. Haru's sorrow is palpable in every freaking movement, and XANXUS is cold, arrogant, brutal-- even though he never says a word.
HERE BE A TANGENT LIKE WHOA: -Haru makes me laugh, but I wouldn't go as far to say I really like her. As a whole I feel like the KHR women are pretty weak. Haru and Kyoko are constantly "hidden and protected" by Tsuna and Co. Chrome is amidst (pun, such a pun) what could either be a)blatant manipulation or b)the sexiest toxic relationship evaaaar. Bianichi could be badass, and sort of is, but she's been shoved into "big sister" role for the other girls and thus is expected to stay behind and protect them all the time. Adelhied is mundanely predictable, and while she has the potential to kick ass, it's becoming clear that she's a villian and to be honest, her personality just sucks. Shitt P? I can't even take her seriously because of her name. *sigh*
Whoops! Sorry for my rampage. I just had to spit it all out.
Back to the topic at hand, I really really loved this fic, and actually added it to my memories. The writing was crisp and clear and it just melted together in a great pool of fucking awesome.
I'm 1) hoping Mammon is a chick who kicks some serious ass (for money only, plz), and 2) hoping like hell Amano cashes in on the fact that Haru has a Lightning flame in the games. Kyouko can be Sun. xD I found Bianchi's "rose-tinted glasses" speech a hint at future badassery from the girls, since even genki-girls Haru and Kyouko are getting sick of the boys shafting them. It really annoys me that Amano, as a woman, doesn't have a manga with lots of strong women. Effeminate boys don't count, and I'll never be able to prove that Basil is a girl masquerading as a guy, so moar ladies, plz. Adelheid bores the shit out of me, and Shitt P.... Just cracks me up. xD I do agree with you that the women need to step up their game. I wanted to see more of Bianchi's scorpions. -_-
FFFT I don't deal well with praise. //crawls under a rock
I was worried that people could've thought it was just some random dude in boots. xD
Whoa long comments. xD That was a great fic, and even though the content is a bit like o.o for a first fic, it was really well written. Haru's characterisation is great, and Xanxus does seem like himself - he's essentially a man of either little words or great temper after all, and even that appears when he has to hurriedly, er... leave.
