Stoner's call to arms!

So lately I have been thinking about everyone and anyone who has tried drugs (any kind of recreational drugs: pot, E, shrooms, acid, etc). Why is it that every person who does or has tried one or more of these drugs seems to think they know everything about it? When I ask about the physical and mental side effects of drugs I get a different answer ( Read more... )

^^ this post was less about drugs themselves, and more what people think they know about drugs, and whether or not you can believe someone based on their limited amount of knowledge.

People shouldn't trust random sources for information about drugs. A more reliable source would be www.erowid.org where you can find links to results from studies as well as FAQs on drugs. The best thing to remember when looking at information on drugs is to remember the source (I.E. Government studies have incentive to find harmful things about drugs and drug users have incentive to find nothing harmful). But I guess in the end you can never be totally sure what a drug will do to you and often the same drug can have different ingredients each time you take it (E...). Do your research and if you choose to do drugs keep in mind that there is always risk.
