I'm just-- the news is FILLED with negativity and stupid remarks these days, and I'm seriously starting to wish for my childhood again, when it didn't matter to me what adults did or said.
It's just tiresome to see all the hatred people have these days for everyone. Whites hating blacks, blacks hating whites, straights hating gays, ignorant people hating other people just for the hell of it. It makes me want to stick my head in the sand.
Blessed are the peacemakers, we are told, but it seems like too big a job sometimes and it makes me tired. Blah.
Well, Jesus didn't have a walk in the park, and he was the son of God. Nobody who speaks sense gets a fair or easy go of it, but sometimes, you have to speak it. Truth to power and all of that.
And I agree. It's one of the main reasons I haven't paid attention to the political races. It's all about tearing down each other, and I don't think that's going to make the country stronger--it's like watching gladiator matches, and I'm not a fan in the least.
