Does anyone know why the manga is on hiatus? Sorry if this has been asked before.

Kaitani usually takes a break after the round ends. I think it was like 6 months between the end of the revival round and the start of round four. He's probably working on his other series and planning for the next round.

Basically, Liar Game was initially put on hiatus because Kaitani had some throat infection and had to go to the hospital. So they replaced him with some other manga. Meanwhile, now he's feeling perfectly alright, and he's already submitted his manuscript and Liar Game is good to go, just that there aren't anymore places in Young Jump (the magazine it's published in) yet. So yeap. His twitter is @mangakap.
