As many or most of you know, I want to live in an intentional community. I have, for several years, talked about what it might look like, what it might take to get started, and scouted for interested people.

I'm in the middle of Creating Life Together: Practical Tools to Grow Ecovillages and Intentional Communities. It's giving me structure for

Isn't that book *wonderful*? Practically bursting with vital info!

Another useful one in conjunction (whenever additional humans are involved in any way) is Nonviolent Communication, by Rosenberg. Since so many sensitive subjects need to be discussed in depth, and any group of people involves a wide variety of communication styles, it's good to all have an idea of the process.

You're so welcome! There's a book on choosing a community by the same author; I haven't read it but her stuff is pretty fabulous.

I just want to mention how delighted I am that the book is turning out to be helpful, and that you are moving forward with this project. I want to be as supportive as I can. I can't commit to living in the community, as you know, because E is not entirely sure how he feels about it, but this should not be taken as a lack of enthusiasm. Especially if you decide to found it near the DC area, I will certainly be involved.

the authenticity from an intentional community must be amazing! I hope that you're able to find what you're looking for. I think a great way to start an intentional community is to be an intentional community. Just living life with the people around you, or being intentional about supporting your communities.

I know of one intentional community and its called The Simple Way.

Sorry, I wasn't sure how to contact you except via your live journal page and commenting section. Hi! Thanks for letting me know. I looked at the texture pack you pointed out and... honestly, I'm not sure. The general look is the same, but the shades don't look to me like they fall exactly where mine do. I think someone may have taken the idea, made it their own, and packaged up some brushes to sell, which sucks, but isn't technically outside the terms I stated. There are at least 2 brushes there that I didn't make, so it looks to me more like they're ripping off my idea than anything else. Which, since I put it out there... like I said, it sucks, but it's not illegal.
