I want to be excited, but I'm scared. lol My mom and I used to be HUGE X-file fans and we went to see the first movie together, too. We're going to this one and yeah. Kinda nervous, but at the same time, it will be so awesome to have them back!

I'm right there with you. X-Files = my fandom first and true love.

But I'm so happy that he's saying that it is a continuation of the series. When the first pictures came out and it kinda looked like they were in the FBI some people were speccing that maybe the movie would be set *before* the series finale.

But yes, I'm still nervous as hell. In the words of Tim Gunn: MAKE IT WORK! *goes back to wibbling in the corner*

My first online fandom? Was probably a tie between Sliders and Invisible Man. :D Both scifi - do we see a pattern here? :D

I don't think it could work if it wasn't a continuation though - at least not for people like you and me.

It will be interesting to see how it deals with the government based part. After 9/11 most tv shows and films barely touch on government plots or conspiracies.
