Comedian Harmonists

Just in case you might be interested in the true story of the Comedian Harmonists, I can tell you that she was not Jewish. He did not write any of their songs; he was an arranger, not a writer. Also, the whole love triangle was a fabrication of the film writer. In reality, they were already married. If you liked her so much with the other guy, maybe it's because the actors are brother and sister. The scene you hated so much is actually pretty close to what happened - if you take the love angle out of it. And, actually, they waited a full year after that concert before they left Germany.
As much as Indian films hit my romance kinks, I must admit some of the South Indian films have pathetic secondary plot lines with romance. One of those films was the Telugu film Bunny (yes, really), whose lead man was attractive but the romance was really *odd* and far from relatable. The hero was an overly hyper oddball guy who kicked all kinds of villain ass but the thing was that the villain was heroine's dad and at first him romancing of the heroine was all a plot. Then he admits it, and acts all cruel towards her, and she cries. The hero continues to be hyper and kickass and eventually I guess he kinda falls for her but that's not really explained. So I kept thinking "He's still tricking her!" and hated him (Allu Arjun's voice was super-annoying, too). Meh. Maybe not hated romance but definitely the romance I disliked the most.
