Apparently Britney Spears shaved her head. As somebody who shaved her head in high school (don't ask, disturbed fashion statement) I'm kinda "yay". With the downside of course being that we will now most likely see a parade of really terrible wigs on her, who wants to bet ( Read more... )

Dude, I have an affinity for women with shaved heads (not so much BS though...). I've always wanted to shave my head, but particularly in high school when I came thisclose to doing so. The problem is I have a really ugly scalp. I mean really. It's just...blocked shaped. And on top of that, because of my racial and ethnic heritage my scalp is faintly yellow (as in, I'm olive skinned, brown if I see sun, and jaudice looking if I never see the light of day). So yeah, makes me like you more now that I know you once shaved your head (even if you are now embarressed about it).

I've been zold that the back of my head was actually quite shapely. And it's wonderful when it comes to haircare (read: you don't need any. Pour water over it, shake your head and it's dry again). But the downside of it obviously is that you then have to pay attention to many other things (clothes, your figure), if you want to look good.

I hope that she gets the fresh starts that shaving hair seems to symbolize for her.

Oddly, growing my hair was a symbol of independance for me.

Admittedly, I too have a fond desire to shave my head, but when one shaves one's head, I personally think wigs are just cheating. Either wear it proud, or stay isolated in a mansion somewhere while it grows into a cut pixie cut.

Word on the wigs (though that in between stage truly is rather horridly awkward looking).

Pffftttt, you're more boring? I'm more boring. The last twelve posts in my live journal have either consisted of "Wow I'm screwed because of school" or "here's a fic I wrote for fic exchange". The later, of course, is rarer.
