i have two tackle boxes full of MAC. TWO TACKLE BOXES. oh, i'm sorry, that's not counting the stuff i decided i never use and have set aside for swapping. that's got its own box(es) too.
stop feeling guilty and go buy the brush sets as well :P
Hahaha that makes me feel a little better...but don't you go encouraging me to buy more!!!! But two tackle boxes...HOLY SHIT! Mine still fits in my nice lancome giant make up bag (along with my other different make up brands crap...) but barely. But still, wayyyy better than that!!!
As for the brushes, I own a bunch of those two. But MAC brushes are expensive and they don't have the same "ooh shiny!" that eye make up has. :P
i know, but that 187 is, like, my favorite posession out of everything i own. except my car. if the 187 had wheels it'd be #1 tho. it does *everything* and perfectly!
so i own that face brush set now - it's the *only* thing i bought from the new collection even tho i really wanted that Peach Lips set. i own the majority of the e/s that were in the palettes already, which is good - less money i have to spend on MAC. i definitely feel your pain there :)
i've spent my life going through crappy brush after crappy brush and the MAC ones have proven time and time again that they are worth the investment. but yes, see, they are less shiny than the makeup itself and that's why i only have 9 brushes compared to the...boxes of shiny stuff ;) but the shiny stuff would look nowhere NEAR as good on if i didn't have those magic brushes :)
See, now I really, really wanna see your make up collection... :P Which brush is the 187? I wonder if it's the one I've been lusting after for a while now...
I had surprisingly little overlap between my eyeshadows and the palettes. It made me very happy! My sister wants me to buy her a palette now for Christmas. I'm thinking of getting her the smokey eyes ones... But yeah, when you're there and you see something you really want it's like you HAVE to buy it!!
I have this giant Revlon blush brush that I bought YEARS ago on sale for like $2 and it is one of the best brushes I have ever owned. I do have a couple of MAC brushes, but the rest are from Visage and Quo and also one random brush set that I don't know who it's by. The Visage and Quo brushes are excellent, I think they're just as good as the MAC brushes but they are slightly cheaper so that's why I veer that way.
I definitely agree on the importance of good brushes though. You can't do crap with a sponge applicator brush, no matter how good the make up is. :P
