can someone please explain to me how I might have friended someone whose lj i never even knew existed?!!!!! I know I never pressed any buttons
And how the hell do I unfriend them?

I suggest that the first thing you do is changing your passwords. Afterwards, go to this page, uncheck the box corresponding his/her username, and then scroll all the way down and click "save changes".
