It's been a long time since I wrote any Bill/Charlie, but I think I can manage. ;)

The hardest thing was keeping quiet. There were far too many strangled gasps, muffled screams, and terrified pauses as the bed thumped. There was a great deal of lip biting and burying of faces in pillows and whispered suggestions that maybe they should put a blanket between the headboard and the wall, or the legs of the bed and the floor.

But they never did. They meant to, but by the time they remembered it was too late. There would be a noise, but Bill would be doing something with his hand that left Charlie incapable of so much as standing up, let alone carefully lifting the bed, and the entire process would begin again

The women’s bathing tent in the camp was empty. That was why Rena preferred going long after the moon had risen and most everyone else was asleep. She liked having it to herself - it was probably silly. She wasn’t shy, having been bathed and dressed by slaves since she was born, but it was different to share a bath with other women
