I was going to say media or legal action. You have played nice, reasonable, the system etc... They really don't deserve any more leeway. The senior manager COULD kick their arses, but hasn't - otherwise it'd have worked by now.

I think you have put up with it long enough, been through enough 'distress' and wasted enough time being nice. You have been discriminated against by constantly having to make a huge 'deal' of your 'disability' to have them still fail to do their jobs to un-disable you.

Gah, grr, stab etc.

I'll talk to the union tomorrow. And ueberboss who is very loud and scary and more likely to get the right arse kicked (a fair amount of arsekicking has happened but it's got weaker going down the chain).

I suspect it's the porters being stubborn goits and probably claiming it's not in their job description - I asked in my email today if it was a repeat of them refusing to do it after the Secretary of State screamed at them about 6 years ago after tripping over a cable...

Sounds like a plan...

I can understand why they don't want to do it as they got bollocked in the past, but it is a legal requirement and if they refuse legally your employer should replace them with porters who will follow the law.

a) Get someone else to go on your behalf and report back - someone good and therefore somewhat expensive. Get popcorn. Sit back and and watch them fight over the financial report...
b) Arrange all future meetings in plush and accessible hotel at their expense
c) Have their building condemned and knocked down
d) Round them up, put them in a field...

a) *That's* what Access to Work are currently demanding - as you have to provide max monthly figures rather than an average over a year or so, I was last assessed at needing over £5000/support per month!
b) I don't arrange the meetings, sadly. The ones I do arrange aren't in this room!
c) It's Grade 1 listed, with features that prevent microphones being sited in the ceiling like they do in all other rooms...
d) Well I did watch a video on humane culling t'other day... It had the catchy title "Getting it right: First time, Every Time"!
