And with the way that you've been talking; [Open to All]

King Mickey stormed into his hotel room, looking far too agitated for words. Didn't anyone in the Nexus know the meaning of the word discretion? It seemed to him that far too many people were finding out about everything. After all; the snake wouldn't have asked him about hearts without reason, would he have ( Read more... )

There is a knock! Lina is feeling constructive today, so she's going and being annoying being helpful by asking people if they're aware that tons of bad things happen here.

This will probably get her yelled at later - but it may mean she gets into a fight. Those are always fun. :D

Large ears twitched at the knock on the door, and the king swept off the counter, heading back for the coat rack and throwing his cloak back on, not bothering to zip it, lest this be some crisis he needed to tend to. The hood fell back over his head, casting it's welcoming shadows over his still somber expression. Without asking who could possibly stand behind the door (his keyblade would be fast enough to block any oncoming attacks, anyway, and how many people really knew which room was his?), Mickey opened it.

Charcoal reflected vibrant orange hair in dim shades of gray. "Hello."

Tiny little mouse-man!

Lina's a bit surprised, but ahwell. There are weir... okay, maybe there aren't. She'd probably put 'Bludget's hair' on the list of weirder things, but only by a little!

She offers a cheery grin, either ignoring or not noticing the somber look.

"Hiya! I'm going through and welcoming people to Trans, just in case they're new. Name's Lina Inverse, nice to meet you! Are you new here?"

She seemed cheerful enough. Mickey's tail tied itself in a knot as he overlooked her, quirking a slightly amused, but still downtrodden expression.

"I've been here for a little over a month," he explained, smoothing out a crease in his coat as he did so. "But thank you for your kindness. My name is Mickey; it's nice to meet 'cha." After a moment of consideration, the mouse stepped aside, waving an arm towards the inside of his room. "I was just making some tea, if you're interested." As they always said, 'misery loves company,' and the king could use some cheering up. It wasn't often he got visitors, and even if this was someone he'd just met, he didn't sense any distinct sort of evil from her, and while she might be dismayed at his kindness, he really didn't mind sharing a cup of tea here and there.

A Knock on the Door; Package for Mickey cross_fortune May 26 2006, 19:42:33 UTC
No footsteps, nothing indicating that anything at all had made the sharp rapping at the King's door. However, just outside, in the hall, sits a small gift.

A white vase holds a batch of some of the most beautiful primroses anyone had ever laid eyes on. A few other flowers, scarlet sage and daisies mostly, dotted the bouquet here and there. Tucked in the flowers is a card, with Mickey's name written on it in feminine, flowing script.

What with the lack of footsteps, the rapping did, indeed, startle him. The king's keyblade is suddenly at his hand, as he slowly approaches the door, nudging it open with due caution. The blade fades in a shower of golden sparkles, the display's beauty seconded by the exquisite flowers laying there in the hall. Gentle and caring arms sweep up the vase, as Mickey looks about the hall, charcoal eyes searching explicitly for any sign of Jun; after all, who else would give him such a wonderful gift of flowers? And those trademark primroses.. The mouse leans the weight of the vase onto one arm, and removes the flower from his pocket to look at it, still as fragrant as the day it was given to him. With a light smile, his highness let the door close, rounding back inside to set the vase upon his table. As touched as he was, the king really hoped that this wasn't 'goodbye.'

"Thank you, Jun... And good luck..."

The card jars from its spot tucked amongst the flowers, falling open onto the table.

Mickey-san,
I've left for The Other Side; I wanted you to know for sure that I was indeed leaving for a few days. I only seek answers, and I promise that I will be back shortly. I leave these for you, since I will not be able to care for them while I'm gone. Thank you for helping me. I will visit as soon as I return.

~ Jun

After having read the note, the king nods to himself, quietly, delicately closing the card and setting it back amongst the flowers, so that they might cradle it the same way he had, when it was in his palm. His highness would take nothing but the best care of the these flowers, hoping to keep them as vibrant as they were the day that Jun left. Somehow, he felt this was the only way he could take care of Jun right now.. and support him, throughout the tremulous times the king knew the boy's journey was sure to have; a few days or not. 'Good luck, and come back soon,' he thought again, caressing a flower petal before glancing back to his tea.
