Grimjack Casefile Classic

Another classic image from the files. A Grimjack: Killer Instinct page I bought off Timothy Truman. The first one I bought got lost in some vortex of time and space by the Post Office. Being the way cool guy Tim is, he let me pick out another one when the first one never showed. It hangs in my bedroom still to this day.

There were times when lettering was done on separate mylar sheets, before computers. An artist might do a few pages without lettering and show them to a publisher, to see if they'll run it. I've got a Frank Brunner art book, where he put in some demo art he did for Conan the Barbarian. It looked like finished art without the lettering, and didn't get published.
