I once got a call from a movie survey company. They gave the names of movies and asked me what I thought the plots were based on the titles alone. I blew the bitch's mind. I was getting into gateways into the 7th plan of hell where the inhabitants are frozen in giant cubes of ice and shit like that and the lady kept asking me to slow down because she wanted to write every word of it.
There is no one "true" way to say it, because of accents and dialects in japan being varied. but the standard way to say it in English is this. MANG-AH How I learned to remember it.. say the first part like Al pachino saying "Man" in Scarface, "Mang". Then just say a short "Ah"
I am sure it was either a book chain or book retail thing, or something funded by the comic direct market.
I figured they got my number from the gf always shopping at the box bookstores (since most comic shops don't collect information like that as well). I always give them a fake number when they say "Area code and phone number please"
Yeah I probably busted the curve if they were trying to find out some way to market to "regular people"
