Sensory overload is not fun. it is BAD BAD BAD. it hurts. I hate it. It's why I don't go to concerts and shit like that.
I tried the right side of the brain drawing book. However, it made my pictures worse instead of better, probably because I've already developed my drawing/painting technique (though I acknowledge it could use some work) and my brain/neural hookups for it.
As to whether I'm insane. Well, I'm functional, but I'm still batshit crazy.
I learned to draw by myself, then I learned proper structure, then i learned gestural drawing, then i learned painting, then sculpture, etc etc etc. I am like a hemi with one bad ass mother fucking clutch, when the crazy old lady aint driving it in circles.
Me too buddy, me too. I got maybe 5 hours last night. Now I'm trashed. I have a job you can't be late to. So now I'm swilling coffee like a fucking maniac. I thought about quelling the madness with vodka, and now I wish I had.
