if i dont have a drink soon i think i might die...

is that possible, that not drinking is somehow worse for me than the drinking was?

i feel like i havent slept in a week, even though i have been getting 6-8 hours a night. nothing feels real,

maybe my brain functions better with the alcohol...

It's just Detox, mate. You drank so much that your body thought that alcohol was a part of the natural metabolic state. Now it's learning otherwise. You gotta give it a bit to readjust. I'm going to say a week at the outside.

You may hallucinate between now and then. Feel free to ask me if things are real.

heh.

Speaking of things that are real: MORE! I've read them all three times now. ;>

Hey, it's just a second opinion. I didn't say I held canonical knowledge. I'll happily tell him "I don't know if that's a shoggoth or just a really, really big rabbit. Let's go ask someone else."

Yeah. It's called withdrawal. It'll pass.

Yeah, it took me about a month of cold-turkey to get over the withdrawal. After that I could drink in smaller amounts occasionally without any need to drink more than that, though my tolerance has gone down considerably since I quit.

While in the "looney bin" there were at least 3 alcoholics there, who were on meds to ease the withdrawals.
