Needle and Thread

I think a few things are making me think about clothes lately.  Winter and being tired of having to wear many articles of clothing at once.  Shopping at Beacons on Sunday.  Editing my closet some more on Monday.  And not having done laundry in weeks and being forced to cobble outfits together out of what feels like some stranger's lost luggage.

is it sorta clean? Ok, I'll wear it. Generally, I have to get dressed for nothing so it doesn't really matter. I will say, I find the cut and fit of women's clothes utter and totally frustrating. And in general, ugly. Whereas, I love men's clothes though they never fit me, I just like the way they look.

Seriously - someone needs to make a bonafide men's-clothes-for-women line. Not like that Dykes in the City crap. But more like what Ellen would mass-produce if she were like 30% more butch.

my fall look is the same as every fall look for me- whatever garbage they make for plus size women to shoe-horn themselves into. preferrably the stuff without black lace and embroidered butterflies.

Embroidered butterflies? WTF. I was just talking to someone who is a little under 5' and she has the same issues because she has to shop in the kids' section (more so the embroidered butterflies than black lace).

You always post stuff that's cute though!

Sometimes I wonder how much accessories, haircuts and footwear have to do with "a look" vs it being all about clothes, too. (I think I am channeling Patsy and Edina here.)

The answer to your question: No. I am a sorry excuse for a chameleon, wearing whatever I think appropriate for the occasion and my weight at the moment. I also stick to "fashion" way too much, resulting in an annual and thorough closet clean-up and the occasional regret over tossing something costume worthy. I do rock at last minute shopping, but my worst habit has got to be buying the same clothing item in various colors. Either way, no one should look my way for pointers, I have no sense of style.
