You know, this is only semi-relevant to your pic spam, but I have to say that you talk about Band of Brothers so much that it's really made me want to watch it. I always had it in mind to but never got around to it. But you speak so highly of it, I feel like I should take the time while I have it.

Alright, so I'm gonna tone down the fangirling for a second, and instead of going, "OMG FUCK YES WATCH IT IT'S GLORIOUS" and stuff, I'll be serious. :D

This is actually the first show/movie about WWII that had me interested from the very first to the very last second. Thanks to this show, I finally feel like I understand what's happened, how much they sacrificed and that without those heroes, I probably wouldn't be sitting right here, right now, talking to you.
There were men who gave their arms, legs, while others gave their lives to try and give people a better life.

Yes, I do think you should watch it-- you won't regret it, I promise you. ♥ ♥ ♥
was like that for me, too-- I have somebody on my f-list who kept on talking and talking about it, so I kinda had to start watching, and I haven't regretted ONE second. <3

Obtaining a greater appreciation and understanding of WWII is one of the main reasons that I've wanted to watch it, actually. My dad was actually born in the thick of the war in September of 1941 and my maternal grandfather was in the U.S. Navy, stationed on O'ahu during the attack on Pearl Harbor. So I've always found the whole thing really, really interesting but almost too mammoth for me to comprehend.

That aside, I totally would have watched it by now if not for the fact that I've had such trouble finding it! I don't have the money to buy it right now and every time I try to find it as a download/torrent, I strike out. Any suggestions? :p

ETA much later: I found the entire series in one torrent on Isohunt. YAY! It's downloading now, but it'll probably take ages, lol.

Eeep, I started watching it on the internet [surfthechannel.com is a very good site for that!], but because my computer loads so slowly and sometimes you gotta listen real carefully to comprehend everything, I bought the DVDs-- paid about 25 bucks; and I haven't regretted one second of it. ♥

I hope you'll have lots of fun and enjoy yourself just as much as I did! :]
