Oh God.

St. Louis is officially touristy.

Dear god am I with you on this one. o.O (Though the Hill is a wonderful place to eat, also pretty far out of the way.)

City Museum is neat, but expensive, and not really steampunky.... I've been there all of once, and I have no need to go back.

I've been to The Hill all of once, and I have nothing against it per se. But it's also the, like, #1 restaraunt I hear in connotation with STL. We HAVE other great places to eat, is my only beef with The Hill. It just... seems like such a cliche thing to suggest?

Hehe, I do not disagree here, but it does have a lot of really good Italian. I wouldn't ever go there if I was paying (at least on my budget), either. Though I suppose one has a significantly higher budget if one can go to Steampunk cons....

Don't go off on my city museum! XD

I honestly have a counterpoint for each, but I'll save the comment space. If you have a prejudice against it you won't like it no matter what I tell you.

(BTW, most of the after mentioned places have already been mentioned, plus I added in a couple too :3 Give people time or add your own! :D)

XD I'm sorreeee. I did wonder if you'd have something to say to me about this post, actually...>.>

Well, I would be interested in hearing your counters. My prejudice has nothing to do WITH the CM, just with a connotation of the CM.

Really, when I think of what makes STL great to visit, CM just doesn't come to mind. It's.... a playground. And I LIKE playgrounds, and I like climbing and exploring. But I've been there three times, and trip #3 was honestly somewhat boring. (And I know it HAS to be expensive in order to, well, EXIST, and I don't fault them for that. It doesn't mean I have to enjoy paying it >.> -iz megacheap-) Mebbe if I was an out-of-towner, I'd find it much more exciting?

Though now that I think about the area it's in, I DON'T think my comment about "nowhere to eat" is accurate anymore. I haven't had the chance to be that downtown in nearly four years.
